Former Fulham manager Chris Coleman will meet with the Football Association of Wales this week to discuss the vacant national team job.
The FAW are stepping up their recruitment drive following the death of manager Gary Speed in November and Coleman has emerged as one of the leading contenders for the post.
But former Wales centre-half Coleman, whose last managerial role was in charge of Greek side Larissa, revealed he will talk to the governing body in the coming days, telling Sky Sports 1: "I'll meet with the FAW this week to discuss the situation."
