Fulham are close to sealing their first transfer activity of the January window, after midfielder Jack Grimmer arrived in London to sign with the club.
The 17-year-old Scot is currently at Aberdeen and despite his slender age, has managed four appearances for the Dons, becoming their youngest ever player when he made his debut against Rangers back in April 2010.
Aberdeen boss Craig Brown is angry yet resigned to the imminent departure of his young talent.
"We have to come up with ways to stop the top clubs in England taking away our best young boys for a pittance, I am not having a go at Jack."
Grimmer becomes the latest Scottish youngster to flee the SPL for the bright lights of the Premier League after Islam Feruz' summer switch to Chelsea and Scott Allan's move to West Brom earlier this January.
It is understood that Grimmer turned down a new deal at Pittodrie after Fulham's initial interest was shown in a pre-contract move.
However, the midfielder is now likely to make the move to west London this January instead, and the Craven Cottage outfit are expected to blood the youngster as one for the future under Martin Jol.
