Team News

QPR captain Joey Barton will miss tonight's game as he serves the third and final game of his three-match ban.

Fellow absentees include Adel Taarabt and Armand Traore who are both away on African Cup of Nations duty. Alejandro Faurlin will too miss the game after picking up a serious knee injury.

Mark Hughes is likely to give some his fringe players a run out with Bradley Orr, Fitz Hall, DJ Campbell and Hogan Ephraim all in contention for a start.

MK Dons have injury doubts concerning centre-half Gary MacKenzie, who looks likely to miss the game, but Charlie MacDonald should be fit after missing the original tie at stadium:MK.

Robinson wants MK history boys

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has urged his players to overcome the nerves and create history by reaching the fourth round for the first time in the club's history tonight.

The Dons are going well in fifth place in League One and a cup run may benefit the side. After all, the prize for tonight's winners in the next round is the arrival of Premier League big boys Chelsea.

Robinson said "We're excited but there is an element of nerves there because we're not just going there to make the numbers up but we are going there to put a performance on and get the victory".

"I know Mark Hughes doesn't leave any stone unturned and I am sure that when he was on that plane back from Newcastle on Sunday he would have been watching a DVD of us and putting together a preparation plan".
