A GiveMeFootball poll has found that Liverpool fans favour a January transfer move for England striker Jermain Defoe.
Over 12,000 Reds supporters on facebook responded to the question of which forward player they'd like to see move to Anfield in the next fortnight, and it was Tottenham's hitman which won the day.
55% of voters said Defoe was the man to solve the goalscoring problem on Merseyside, with Luis Suarez's suspension and a lack of form for Andy Carroll starting to take its toll on Kenny Dalglish's side.
A proven goalscorer with West Ham, Bournemouth (loan), Spurs and Portsmouth, the only stumbling block for Liverpool would be the £20 million price-tag reportedly place on the 29-year-old's head.
In second place in the GMF survey was Moussa Sow, who collected 24% of the vote after yesterday's revelation that he 'dreams' of scoring in-front of the Kop.
The Lille striker has impressed since joining Les Dogues in 2010, with the Senegalese strikers goals helping the club to the Ligue 1 title last season. He's been linked with a part-exchange switch with Joe Cole.
None of the other options, selected from recently speculated targets in the British press, caught the imagination of the fans, with 'other' selected third in the list (9%).
Dutch striker Luuk De Jong was next on the list, claiming 4% of the vote, just ahead of Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair, who received the same percentage but fewer votes.
Crystal Palace starlet and confirmed Reds target Wilfried Zaha received a firm no from the fans, collecting 3% of the vote, whilst Inter Milan starlet Luc Castaignos faired even worse, receiving just 1% of the votes from the Liverpool fans.
