Npower League Two side Barnet have today announced the signing of Arsenal youngster Sead Hajrovic on a one-month loan deal.
The 18-year-old Swiss centre-back signed for Arsenal two years ago from his native Grasshopper Zurich, and has been a permanent fixture in Neil Banfield's reserve set-up.
Hajrovic now has a chance to learn his trade at first team level, following Danny Senda's season-ending injury which forced Bees boss Lawrie Sanchez into the loan market.
The teenager said of his move: "This has come out of the blue and I am looking forward to playing first team football."
Hajrovic is indeed one of three Swiss youngsters in Arsenal's reserve ranks, alongside Martin Angha and Elton Monteiro, but has been the first selected by Arsene Wenger for external experience.
The move again represents the strong bond between both Arsenal and Barnet. Hajrovic will be sure of his new surroundings, as the club's Underhill ground hosts the Gunners' second strings matches.
The player is likely to go straight into the squad for the weekend trip to Northampton Town.
