Liverpool are being linked with a January transfer raid on Udinese midfielder Mauricio Isla.

The versatile Chilean international, who can play in central midfield or at right back as well as his more traditional right wing position, has been earning rave reviews in Italy for his performances with the Zebrette.

It's also led to speculation over a move away from Serie 'A', with 4-4-2.com reporting that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is the latest manager to take an interest in the 23-year-old.

The Scot had predicted a quiet January transfer window at Anfield, for the first team at least, despite constant speculation surrounding the Reds and a string of players based in both the UK, Europe and beyond.

Isla is the latest player to appear on the list, with the same website reporting that Liverpool will need to make an offer in the region of €15 million to lure the player away from the Stadio Friuli this month.

Francesco Guidolin will be keen to keep hold of the 30-cap international though, having lost Isla's compatriot Alexis Sanchez to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
