Inter Milan defender Lucio says Brazilian youngster Lucas Mora is ideally suited to European football, amid reported interest in his signature from Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Sao Paulo teenager is regarded one of the finest young prospects in South American football, and has frequently been linked with a move to Europe.

Anfield and Stamford Bridge have been touted as potential destinations for Lucas, and his agent has since confirmed that both Liverpool and Chelsea have made enquiries regarding the 19-year-old.

Inter Milan have also reportedly been tracking Lucas, and his compatriot Lucio hopes to see the young attacker move to the San Siro at some point.

"He always works hard in training and is a humble lad," Lucio is quoted in Football Italia.

"I know Lucas very well and Inter ought to run to sign him straight away. He is a wide attacker with a great deal of quality, all combined with exceptional pace."

Lucas has scored 17 goals in 69 appearances for Sao Paulo, while he has also registered 13 assists for the Brazilian giants.

He has also made 10 appearances for the Brazil national team, for whom he has scored one goal, which came against Argentina in September of last year.

And, despite the reported interest in his signature, Lucas has previously stated he is happy to continue his education at the Estádio do Morumbi.
