Tottenham Hotspur’s out-of-favour striker Roman Pavlyuchenko could yet leave the club in January.

Talksport claim that the White Hart Lane outcast is subject to a bid from Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.

Harry Redknapp has preferred Emmanueal Adebayor and Jermain Defoe ahead of the 30-year-old for the past two seasons now and there has been continual talk regarding his departure from Spurs.

The latest report claims that progress may be being made between White Hart Lane official and those of Lokomotiv.

This is supposedly the second offer by the club from the Russian capital and is said to be worth £7.5million, submitted after a £6.5million.

Pavlyuchenko’s price has been a problem in the past, with his agent Oleg Artemov publicly stating that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was asking too much for the Russia international.

One reason for this could be the reported interest of nouveau riche Anzhi Makhachkala, who would certainly have the resources to pay over the odds for the Russian international.

However, Harry Redknapp may now not be too keen on letting Pavlyuchenko go a she would only have Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe as his only two recognised senior strikers.
