Fraizer Campbell marked his return from an injury nightmare in style to spare Sunderland's blushes and deny rivals Middlesbrough a famous FA Cup victory in a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light.

The striker came off the bench to make his first senior appearance since August 2010 and confirmed his recovery with a 63rd-minute equaliser as the Barclays Premier League side fought back to claim a fourth-round replay.

Barry Robson had given the visitors a 16th-minute lead with a stunning volley, and npower Championship Boro were well worth a second opportunity to claim a place in the fifth round.
