CSKA Moscow have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to sign Manchester United target Granit Xhaka from Basel.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for his Swiss employers this season and, it would appear, has been attracting plenty of interest.
According to talkSPORT, CSKA are hoping to secure the services of Xhaka in a deal worth £10 million before the transfer window closes this month.
Russian clubs can still conduct business up until February 24, and Manchester United must now play a waiting game to see if Xhaka moves to Moscow.
Xhaka featured prominently as Basel knocked United out of the Champions League this season, winning 2-1 at St Jakob Park in December to seal the fate of Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Bild are also reporting that United could miss out on Xhaka's supremely talented teammate Xherdan Shaqiri, who is set to move to German giants Bayern Munich.
Bayern are said to have agreed a fee of £10 million for his signature, and he will move to the Allianz Arena in the summer.
