The agent of versatile Udinese midfielder Mauricio Isla has confirmed that Liverpool are amongst the clubs taking an interest in his services.

A 31-cap Chilean international, Isla was linked with a move to England last month, with Leonardo Rodriguez confirming teams from the Premier League had 'asked' about his client.

And now Rodriguez has confirmed that Kenny Dalglish is one of the interested parties, although the situation will become clearer towards the end of the season and start of the summer transfer window.

"I believe that he is being watched by Liverpool and by other clubs from Italy," he told IBT UK.

"I can't be sure that any clubs are getting in contact [with Udinese]. Near the next market we will be able to inform with more accuracy."

It's unlikely that the Zebrette would be willing to let the player leave on the cheap, with reports in The Daily Mail earlier in the month claiming a £12 million fee would be needed to lure the player away from the Stadio Friuli.

Competition for Isla's signature is strong though, with the Anfield outfit facing a transfer battle alongside Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow, as well as Italian outfit Roma.
