Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge has denied there is a rift in the Stamford Bridge camp under Andre Villas-Boas.

Sturridge’s comments come at a difficult time for the Blues, who are heading into a Champions League last 16 tie first leg with Napoli tomorrow.

This disappointing run continued on Saturday when they were held to a 1-1 draw with Championship side Birmingham City at Stamford Bridge in their FA Cup fifth round fixture.

“We are all together as one and we are not a divided unit,” the young England striker told the official Chelsea website.

“We are a family and we've got a good unit going here and I think maybe we will see that in the next few games.”

Sturridge scored the equaliser in a laboured performance by Villas-Boas’ side and they will now face an unwanted replay at St Andrews at a time when they are fighting for their Champions League place next year, as well as navigating their current campaign.

The 22-year-old will be looking to score his first Champions League goal when the team travel to Napoli’s San Paolo stadium tomorrow and was in a confident mood ahead of the clash.

“They have some great individuals as well as a good team but we have the same and we are not going to worry about what they have got,” he added.

“We have to go out there with the attitude that they have got to worry about what we have got.

“I am certainly not worried about that and we are going out there with the state of mind that we can win the game and play some good football, maybe get some more opportunities and put them away.”

Chelsea will be hoping to gain some momentum in Italy to try and halt the slide that has seen them slip behind Arsenal in the race for the Premier League’s fourth place.
