Rafael Benitez's agent insists the manager has not been approached by representatives of Chelsea regarding the position at the club.
Current boss Andre Villas-Boas is under increasing pressure in west London, with the 3-1 defeat at Napoli compounding a string of poor results in the Premier League over the past month.
Various British press reports had claimed that the former Liverpool boss had already been approached to take charge at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the season, but Manuel Quinn Garcia insisted that wasn't the case.
He was happy to admit, however, that his client remains keen to return to the Premier League in a managerial role.
"There is nothing official. It's only media speculation and we have not been approached by Chelsea. We would only evaluate that possibility once there is an offer," he told the Daily Mirror.
"Benitez's priority is to coach in the Premier League."
Benitez enjoyed major success at Anfield, helping the Reds claim a Champions League crown during his six years in charge on Merseyside.
Having also claimed La Liga glory during his time with Valencia, Benitez was said to have appealed to Blues owner Roman Abramovich, but those claims have been denied.
