Bent injured in Wigan stalemate

England striker Darren Bent was stretched off in agony as Wigan and Aston Villa battled to a goalless draw at the DW Stadium.

Bent, who had earlier seen the best chance of the game saved by Ali Al Habsi, went down after a second-half challenge from Antolin Alcaraz.

It was immediately obvious he could not continue and he now looks set for a long period on the sidelines.
