Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is being tracked by Inter Milan and Manchester United, according to talkSPORT.
The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals in 24 appearances since moving to Lisbon in the summer.
Such form had sparked interest from Inter and United, both of whom are building towards next season.
After struggling at the start of the campaign, Claudio Ranieri's side are nine points off the European places with 13 games remaining, and as a result he has begun preparations ahead of the new season.
United are meanwhile still fighting for the Premier League title, as they lie two points behind neighbours Manchester City.
Coach Rene Meulensteen has previously revealed United's interest in the forward, but any summer pursuit of Van Wolfswinkel is likely to be followed by interest from Italy.
Ranieri will meanwhile attempt to hold on to his job at the San Siro until the summer, when he can begin building for the new campaign.
