Andre Villas-Boas has, once again, stated that Porto forward Hulk could be an ideal summer acquisition for Chelsea.

The Brazilian was one of the stars for Porto last season; scoring 36 goals as Villas-Boas' side enjoyed an unprecedented year of success.

Since Villas-Boas left the Estadio do Dragao for Stamford Bridge last June, Hulk has frequently been linked with a move to west London.

And, with the Portuguese likely to conduct a significant overhaul of playing staff at the end of the season, he admits that Hulk fits the profile of the type of signing he is looking for.

"[Hulk] fits the profile - his technical characteristics and tactical," the Chelsea boss told his weekly press conference.

"Adaptation to the Premier League is extremely different and only the best ones can have the direct impact.

"It could be Hulk, could be other extremely interesting players that are around. Right wingers and left wingers [are what we are looking for]."

The problem for Villas-Boas, though, remains that he may not still be at Stamford Bridge to oversee the signing of Hulk at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old is under serious pressure after failing to make an impact both in the dressing room and on the pitch, and defeat to Napoli in the Champions League could prove to be fatal.
