Mackie dismayed by Barton jeers

QPR goal hero Jamie Mackie admits he was disappointed to hear Rangers fans boo Joey Barton during Wednesday night's dramatic 3-2 victory over Liverpool.

Mackie scored deep into injury time to complete a remarkable comeback from Mark Hughes' side, who recovered from 2-0 down to secure a highly-fortuitous yet valuable victory. The win - just their second in 17 Barclays Premier League matches - moved the Londoners out of the relegation zone and they are now two points clear of danger.

The gloss was taken off the victory somewhat by a large section of the home crowd opting to boo captain Barton when he was replaced by Mackie, and the striker said: "You don't like to see that, especially towards your captain."
