Wheater brace boosts Bolton

Published Add your comment

Bolton offered Fabrice Muamba the best get-well-soon present of all as David Wheater's brace took them out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Blackburn.

Wheater's first-half double, the first of his career, were enough to repel Blackburn, who pulled one back after the break through Steven Nzonzi.

In May, the points could be crucial. But this game was all about Muamba, who suffered a cardiac arrest at Tottenham seven days ago and remains in intensive care.
