Jol urges stars to re-sign

Fulham manager Martin Jol has challenged his out-of-contract stars to show the mental strength required to commit their future to the Cottagers.

Danny Murphy and Andy Johnson are both free agents at the end of the season, whilst Clint Dempsey has one more year on his present deal. Jol wants all three to sign new contracts as he continues to reshape his squad.

Jol said: "If they are mentally strong they will stay with us. If not, if they need to play or go somewhere else, we can go on with our transformation."
