Another leading European club could potentially enter the race for Eden Hazard’s signature this summer after Belgium team-mate Daniel Van Buyten urged the in-demand youngster to join him at Bayern Munich this summer.

A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for Hazard, who is currently one of the most in-demand young footballers on the planet.

Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all said to be interested in signing up the Lille forward, with managers Harry Redknapp, Roberto Mancini and Sir Alex Ferguson all having spent time watching the 21-year-old in action in recent weeks.

The talented youngster himself has spoken out positively over moves to Tottenham and Arsenal, while also admitting he was flattered when Ferguson was spotted running the rule over the Belgian youngster with a view of taking him to Old Trafford.

He appeared less interested in a move to Manchester City, saying upon hearing Mancini had watched him play that he was ‘focusing’ on seeing out the season with Lille.

However Van Buyten is hopeful of steering Hazard towards Munich in the summer, and revealed he had already talked to him about a potential switch to the Bundesliga

“He is a young player with a large large margin for improvement. I have talked to him about Bayern, and that is why he is coming," Van Buyten is quoted as saying.

"He is an attractive player for many clubs. We discussed a transfer to Bayern a little bit and he asked me some questions.

"But I think he has plenty of options."

Bayern have previously been linked with a move for Hazard but Van Buyten’s quotes mark the first time anyone from the Bundesliga club have gone public with their admiration for the talented youngster.

Hazard appears destined to leave Lille in the summer and has previously spoken fondly of the Premier League, although with a £35 million price tag around his neck Arsenal may be put off, but Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham could be willing to pay the fee in order to secure his services.

Earlier this week it was revealed that the 2010/11 Ligue 1 player of the season could have joined Chelsea for for nothing after Blues scout Guy Hillion claimed he had tried to persuade the management team at Stamford Bridge to snap Hazard up when he was 17-years-old.
