Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of City's clash with Sunderland this weekend after suffering what Roberto Mancini called a "stupid" injury.

The City manager refused to specify the exact nature of Aguero's injury, but did reveal the Argentinian striker could be out for up to two weeks.

Elsewhere Arsene Wenger has been handed a three-match ban and a €40,000 fine by UEFA for "improper conduct" when Arsenal faced Milan.

TRANSFER NEWS

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has ruled out a move to Manchester, amid rumours he could be on his way to the Etihad Stadium. (Sky Sports)

Chelsea could resurrect a move for Ajax full back Gregory van der Wiel after the Dutchman's proposed move to Valencia collapsed. (talkSPORT)
