Leon Osman's wickedly-deflected shot and Victor Anichebe's second-half strike gave Everton a 2-0 win at home to West Brom.

Osman's 18th-minute effort beat goalkeeper Ben Foster with the help of a huge change of direction from Baggies defender Gareth McAuley.

Anichebe scored the crucial second just after the hour and Toffees fans will have taken great delight in their side moving ahead of near-neighbours Liverpool into eighth.
