Sunzu reveals Arsenal and Chelsea contact

Zambia international Stoppila Sunzu is waiting to discover if a trio of Premier League clubs - including Arsenal and Chelsea - follow up an initial interest from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sky Sports reports how the 22-year-old, who can play in both defence and midfield, caught the attention of a number of potential suitors during January's tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is known to be in the market for reinforcements this summer, and may be attracted by Sunzu's versatility as he looks to strengthen his Emirates Stadium squad.

However, if quotes from the player are to be believed, Arsenal will face competition for Sunzu's signature from Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers.

"I met recruiters from Chelsea, Bolton and Arsenal in my hotel room in Gabon," he is quoted by The People. "If those clubs want me, they have to contact Mazembe."

Sunzu currently plies his trade for TP Mazembe in DR Congo, and made no secret of his financial motivation for a potential move to England.

"I will join the club that offers the most money and gives me the best chance to progress," he continued. "Whoever signs me won't regret it."

The African has previously expressed an interest in moving to England, but saw a move to Reading scuppered due to work permit issues.
