Christian Eriksen is ready to snub interest from Manchester United in order to stay at Ajax, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects currently plying his trade in Holland, and impressed in the Europa League this season.
Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson was particularly impressed with the Danish international when his side met the Eredivisie giants in Europe back in February.
However, any hopes Manchester United may have had of luring Eriksen to Old Trafford this summer have been dealt a significant blow after the player revealed his intentions to remain at the Amsterdam Arena.
"I think that I'm still developing here at Ajax and that the regular playing time that I am getting is making me better and better," he said.
"I don't see the need for a move at the moment. I feel very much at home here and there is plenty I can still learn."
United have been linked with a host of midfield additions since the January transfer window, when Ferguson tempted club veteran Paul Scholes out of retirement, to cover his depleted squad until the end of the season.
