Adams proud as Ross County go up

Manager Derek Adams has paid tribute to his Ross County players after promotion to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League was confirmed.

Nearest rivals Dundee were held to a 1-1 draw by Queen of the South, leaving them 14 points behind Irn-Bru First Division leaders County with four games left and seeing Adams' side promoted ahead of Wednesday's clash with Ayr United at Somerset Park.

Adams said in a number of Scottish newspapers: "We have achieved our dream of playing in the SPL - it's just a fabulous night.
