Roberto Mancini believes the title race is "finished" despite closing the gap on leaders Manchester United to five points with an emphatic win last night night.

Mancini denied he was playing "mind games", conceding he thinks it is "too late" to overhaul United and win the club's first league title for 44 years.

The Red Devils slumped to a shock defeat at Wigan Athletic last night, with Sir Alex Ferguson admitting his players simply were not good enough.

Elsewhere, Arsenal strengthened their grip on third with a comfortable win over Wolves, while QPR hauled themselves out of the drop zone with a win over Swansea.
