Manchester City could be boosted by the return of influential midfielder Yaya Toure for Saturday's Premier League clash against Norwich at Carrow Road.
The 28-year-old Ivorian international missed the Citizens' 4-0 victory over West Brom at the Etihad Stadium last night, after limping out of last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Arsenal.
After Manchester United lost 1-0 against Wigan at the DW Stadium, Roberto Mancini's side closed the gap at the top of the table to five points with another routine home win.
And as City look to keep the title race going, by closing the deficit to just two points, with another three points over the Canaries, the players will welcome the potential return of Toure.
"Yaya had a problem with his knee against Arsenal but I don't think it is a serious injury," Mancini is quoted by Sky Sports.
"I think that maybe for Saturday he will be ready."
United play Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday - a day after City's trip to East Anglia - and will be under pressure to respond with a win of their own, assuming their inner city rivals are victorious.
