Arsenal and Manchester United have been joined in the pursuit of highly-rated PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman by AC Milan, it has been claimed.
The 22-year-old Holland international moved to the Philips Stadion from Utrecht last summer, and has impressed all and sundry with his tenacious displays in the PSV midfield.
Strootman's performances have certainly caught the eye of Sir Alex Ferguson, who is reportedly to be a summer bid for the Dutchman, who has been compared to Old Trafford legend Roy Keane.
According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are also interested in Strootman, but Milan could scupper any potential move to the Emirates Stadium or Old Trafford.
Milan are reported to be willing to part with £10 million in order to capture the signature of Strootman, and whether or not Arsenal or United formalise their interest remains to be seen.
Arsenal could be in the market for a holding midfielder during the summer transfer window with Alex Song yet to commit to a new contract, and Strootman may prove to be a worthy successor.
