Ferguson making Hazard moves

Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly made another scouting trip to make a personal check on Lille star Eden Hazard, with a view to bringing him to Manchester United in the summer.

The 21-year-old Belgian is expected to leave the Stade Lille-Metropole for pastures new during the summer transfer window, having starred for the Ligue 1 side over the past two seasons.

Hazard has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City all credited with interest in his signature.

Manchester United, though, have also been pursuing Hazard, and could yet make a formal approach for the Belgium international during the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, United boss Ferguson has been to watch Hazard in action, and the 70-year-old is likely to have been suitably impressed by the young forward.

Completing a deal to bring Hazard to Old Trafford would certainly be a coup for United, with Europe's elite all seemingly pursuing his signature.
