Moura has attracted interest from all over Europe with Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid leading the race for his signature, while Inter Milan were also reportedly interested.
The Blues in particular are keen on taking Moura to Stanford Bridge as part of their drive to snap up some of the best young players around, but look set to be thwarted in their pursuit of the youngster.
TalkSPORT reports that Real Madrid’s general manager Florentino Perez has held discussions with Moura’s agent, Wagner Ribiero, and the deal could be sealed in the summer.
The radio station also report that the 19-year-old could be immediately loaned back to Sao Paulo in order to continue his development before making the switch full-time to the Bernabeu.
Brazilian newspaper El Confidencial report that Madrid are increasingly confident of beating Chelsea to the punch and snapping up the talented youngster.
Liverpool were also said to be interested in signing Moura, with Ribiero confirming last year that the Reds had been keen on taking him to Anfield and had made a bid, along with Chelsea.
"I received three offers for my client from Chelsea, Inter and Liverpool," he told a Brazilian radio station in December.
"But the club will not sell Lucas at this stage and will turn down every single offer. They made it clear that Lucas won't go. However, in June we will talk about that again."
However with director of football Damien Comolli leaving his post at Liverpool at the end of the season and his successor set to be charged with scouring for young British talent, the Reds may have ended their interest in him
