Manchester City are attempting to overcome interest from Inter Milan, Juventus and Arsenal to sign Le Havre teenager Jules Ntcham, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The 16-year-old midfielder has been billed as the most promising French youngster of his generation, and currently captain's the Les Bleus U16 side.
Ntcham has so far resisted Le Havre's attempts to tie him to a professional contract, since the turn of his 16th birthday in February, meaning he could leave for a nominal compensation fee this summer.
Citizens boss Roberto Mancini is always on the lookout for bright young talent, and having been likened in playing style to former Chelsea star Marcel Desailly, Ntcham should be well suited to the rigours of the Premier League.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has also been credited with an interest in bringing Ntcham to the Emirates Stadium in June, and will be hoping his reputation for nurturing and developing talent will be enough to convince the player his future will be best served at Arsenal.
Le Havre signed Ntcham from third division amateur club Paris FC, but now face a battle to retain the midfielder's services amid interest from a host of Europe's leading clubs.
