La Liga leaders Real Madrid are planning a summer swoop for Sao Paulo's Brazilian international and former Chelsea transfer target Lucas Moura.

The Spanish side are believed to have become frustrated by the lack of progress in negotiations with fellow Brazilian sensation Neymar, and may instead just focus on securing the transfer of Lucas. El Confidencial claim Moura is the man they are now tracking.

Sao Paulo reportedly rejected a bid from Chelsea for the attacking midfielder in January, while Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in snapping up the skilful youngster.

The 19-year-old already has 11 caps to his name with the Brazil national side and is rated as one of the hottest prospects in his homeland, along with Neymar.

Madrid had been in pole position to sign Neymar, but the Santos star recently signed a contract extension until 2014, forcing Madrid to consider alternative options.

Chelsea already have one ex-Sao Paulo star on their books after they signed Lucas Piazon from the Brazilian club in 2011.

Although he is yet to make his first-team debut for Chelsea, 18-year-old Piazon has drawn comparisons with former FIFA World Player of the Year and Brazilian compatriot Kaka for his style of play.
