No new contract for Flynn

Wales age-grade boss Brian Flynn will not be offered a new contract when his current deal runs out at the end of next month, the Football Association of Wales have confirmed.

The former Wales midfielder has held his post since being appointed by John Toshack in 2004, and has gained a reputation for helping develop young talent after nurturing the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen.

The 56-year-old former Wrexham and Swansea manager twice guided Wales Under-21s to the brink of qualification for the European Championship finals, and racked up impressive victories over France and Italy along the way.
