Goal-line technology tested at games

The first live test of Hawk-Eye's goal-line technology will take place at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium next month, FIFA have announced.

The system will be tested at the Hampshire FA Senior Cup Final between Eastleigh FC and AFC Totton on May 16. A second fixture will be confirmed in the near future.

A second system developed by German/Danish firm GoalRef will also be tested in two separate matches - possible a Danish Superliga fixture and a forthcoming international friendly - and if they pass all the tests, the systems will be given the green light by the International FA Board on July 2.
