Barcelona assistant manager Tito Vilanova will succeed Pep Guardiola at the Nou Camp after Pep Guardiola today announced he will leave the club.

At a press conference earlier, Guardiola said the pressure of managing Barca had taken it's toll, and confirmed he will step down next month.

Roberto Mancini has insisted he will not be sacked by Manchester City fail to win the title this season ahead of Monday's huge Manchester derby.

Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger says he is confident Robin van Persie will sign a new contract at Arsenal amid speculation linking him away from the club.

TRANSFER NEWS

In today's transfer news, Man Utd have been linked with a move for Brazil midfielder Lucas - but face competition from Madrid. (The Mirror)

Kenny Dalglish says he would be happy to welcome Alberto Aquilani back to Liverpool if AC Milan do not sign the Italian permanently. (Sky Sports)
