Manchester United are reportedly considering a somewhat surprsing summer bid for Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is currently on loan with Swansea City.
The Iceland international has been in sensational form since his January switch to the Liberty Stadiu - scoring seven times in 14 appearaces for the Swans - while he was the Premier League's Player of the Month for March.
Sir Alex Ferguson was in attendance at the Liberty on Saturday afternoon as Swansea played out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Wolves and, it would appear, he was particularly impressed by Sigurdsson.
According to The Mirror, the United boss is now planning an attempt to bring the 22-year-old to Old Trafford, but would have to part with around £10 million to secure his signature.
Saturday was not the first time Ferguson has posted scouts to take a look at Sigurdsson, with the Scot reportedly sending his brother Martin and No.2 Mike Phelan to wacth the Icelander against Bolton last weekend.
