Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has paid tribute to Luis Suarez after his impressive treble against Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.
It was the Uruguayan's first hat-trick for the Reds and it was taken in some style as Kenny Dalglish's side earned three points with a comfortable victory at Carrow Road.
"It was an amazing performance from Luis," Enrique told the club's official website. "I don't think I've ever seen a better hat-trick than that."
Suarez's third goal was an amazing effort, dispatched just past the half-way line and ending up in the Norwich net, past a helpless John Ruddy in the Canaries' goal.
"They were all amazing goals - the first with his left foot, the second with his right and the third was unbelievable from so far out," the Spanish defender recalled.
Enrique did not hesitate to point out how important Suarez is for Liverpool, and is sure that he will become a major figure at Anfield in years to come.
"We all know Luis is a very special player for us," he continued. "He's been really unlucky this season.
"He's played like that many times and had many chances and deserved a lot more goals."
The flamboyant striker has proved what he is capable of before arriving in England, with a number of eye-catching displays in the Eredivisie with Ajax.
"Wherever he has been, whether in Uruguay or Holland, if you look at his record he's scored a lot. I'm sure he will do the same here because he's a top striker."
Liverpool lie in eighth position in the Premier League table with 49 points, two adrift of Merseyside rivals Everton, with three games remaining.
