Chelsea are ready to make a move for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini this summer and will reportedly make an offer worth £22million.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich is keen to make the Belgium international a Blue in what is being called a major summer overhaul.
Fellaini has been impressive in the Toffees resurgence in the second half of the season and Abramovich is reportedly ready to test cash-strapped Everton’s resolve with a bid in the region of £22million.
The 24-year-old midfielder only signed a new five-year deal at the end of last year, but the reported sum would be difficult for David Moyes’ club to turn down.
Fellaini joined the Merseysiders in a £15million deal from Standard Liege in 2008, a record fee for the club, and a £7million profit on him may be too large a sum for chairman Bill Kenwright to turn down.
