Mancini insists United still favourites

Published Add your comment

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes his players would be making a big mistake if they believed the Barclays Premier League title race was over.

The 1-0 win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Monday means City will secure their first championship since 1968 if they win their final two games, at Newcastle on Sunday and at home to QPR seven days later.

Yet Mancini still insists United are favourites and does not want his players to get lulled into a false sense of security, saying: "It is not finished. If we think it is finished, we will be making a big mistake. United are the favourites."
