Chelsea are preparing a £22m bid for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.
The Belgian midfielder joined the Toffees from Standard Liege in 2008, and has adapted well to life in the Premier League. His recent good form and Everton's financial problems have led the midfielder to become the latest player to be linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge, according to Setenta Sports.
The 24-year-old was bought for £15m by David Moyes and only signed a new five-year deal in November last year. As a result, a bid of less than £22m is unlikely to interest the Merseyside outfit.
Nevertheless, Chelsea are thought to be keen to make additions in the summer, especially through the middle, and Fellaini represents a proven Premier League performer.
The Belgian has 33 caps for his country, although will not be appearing at the UEFA European Championships after Belgium failed to qualify behind Germany and Turkey.
The central midfielder could be tempted to Stamford Bridge by the lure of Champions League football. However, Chelsea currently remain outside the top four and victory over Bayern Munich in next month's final looks their best bet for qualification.
