Two sublime strikes by Papiss Cisse saw Newcastle secure a rare away victory over Chelsea that boosts the Magpies' hopes of playing Champions League football next season.

Cisse's wonderful brace, his 12th and 13th league goals since joining the club in January, saw Alan Pardew's men pull clear of Chelsea in the race for fourth after the two sides kicked off separated by a single point in fifth and sixth place respectively.

Defeat for the Blues means Roberto Di Matteo's men are now four points off fourth place with two games remaining and will more than likely have to win the Champions League final against Bayern Munich on May 19 if they are to return to European football's premier club competition next season.
