Roberto Di Matteo has refused to throw in the towel after a breathtaking Papiss Cisse double all but ended Chelsea's hopes of finishing in the Barclays Premier League top four.

Cisse netted arguably the best double Stamford Bridge has seen in the 2-0 win to keep Newcastle in the hunt to snatch one of the final two Champions League qualifying spots.

Defiant Chelsea caretaker manager Di Matteo said: "It's going to be difficult now for us to reach fourth spot. We'll keep pushing though until it's impossible. We won't give up."
