Steven Gerrard was in reflective mood on his team's performances this season, and shared his views in-front of the cameras for GiveMeFootball ahead of this weekend's FA Cup final.
The Liverpool skipper gave his thoughts on past and upcoming games in an interview that finished in laughs caused by biscuit enquiries.
The Reds have already won the Carling Cup, but Gerrard believes that this doesn't mean that the season has been good for them, a point proved by their poor form in the league. However, a win at Wembley on Saturday could put things right for Kenny Dalglish's side.
"Our dream for the season was finishing top four. Winning the Carling Cup was fantastic, it was a great day but I think we have to go and win the FA Cup to make it a successful season if we finish out of the top four," Gerrard told GMF.
Liverpool booked their appointment in the Wembley final against Chelsea with a huge semi-final win against Everton. Both the Reds and Blues need to add silverware in their cabinet, but with Roberto Di Matteo's side having European duties to fulfil, Kenny Dalglish appears to have the bigger need for this particular trophy.
The Reds skipper is familiar with big pressure games, and has found himself on both the winning and losing side many times. He claims, quite reasonably, that the greatest moment of his career came in the Champions League, and that famous night against AC Milan in Istanbul, when his side beat the Italian giants on penalties.
"I've been really lucky to have quite a few great moments. Every time I've won a trophy it's been a great moment for me, but if I had to pick one, probably the Champions League final."
