John Terry revealed he and Frank Lampard plan to lift the Champions League together after sharing the honour of raising the FA Cup at Wembley yet again.

Terry and Lampard each held one handle of the cup as it was hoisted aloft after the Blues' historic 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday, their fourth triumph in the last six finals. The win also saw Terry become the first man to captain the same club to FA Cup glory four times.

Terry is suspended for the Champions League final against Bayern Munich on May 19 but he will be allowed to lift the European Cup should the Blues win. Asked if Saturday's cup-lifting routine would be repeated in a fortnight, Terry said: "Let's hope so."
