Arsenal and Queens Park Rangers are both reportedly keen to acquire the services of Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero, who looks set to leave Turin this summer.
The 37-year-old has helped Juve claim a first Scudetto since their return to Serie A and could lead them to a domestic double before his contract expires at the end of the season.
According to talkSPORT, both Arsenal and QPR are monitoring the situation of Del Piero and are ready to formalise their interest in the Italian World Cup winner.
The recruitment of Del Piero would seem to go against Arsene Wenger's principles of signing young talent, although the Arsenal boss has previously demonstrated he can be versatile in the market, as the second comings of Sol Campbell and Thierry Henry proved.
QPR, meanwhile, have been willing to spend big to land their targets since the arrival of Tony Fernandes, although are unlikely to be able to afford Del Piero's wage demands if they fail to retain their Premier League status.
Del Piero is Juve's record appearance holder and goalscorer and will leave the club after 19 years.
