Liverpool are chasing Roma forward Bojan Krkic as they look to strengthen their attacking options, according to talkSPORT.
Bojan has become a summer transfer target for Reds boss Kenny Dalglish, but the Anfield side face competition for his signature from Schalke. The German side are thought to be considering the Spanish frontman as a possible replacement for Raul.
Reports in Spain suggest Bojan's agent, Sostres Ramon, held talks with Roma's sporting director Walter Sabatini this week to discuss the striker's future.
The former Barca star now looks set to choose between the Bundesliga and the Premier League, with bids set to be placed on the table from both Liverpool and Schalke.
Bojan has struggled since joining Roma after he burst onto the scene as a highly rated 17-year-old at the Nou Camp. The now 21-year-old Spanish international signed for the Italian side for around £10m in 2011 but is thought to be eager to move on again.
Schalke look set to be able to offer Bojan Champions League football - something Liverpool cannot - as they sit third in the Bundesliga. However, a move to the Premier League could prove tempting for the youngster who has undoubted potential.
