Double injury blow for Chelsea

Roberto Di Matteo has vowed to do everything possible to get Chelsea defenders David Luiz and Gary Cahill fit for the Champions League final.

The Blues' hopes of beating Bayern Munich next Saturday have arguably suffered a blow when caretaker boss Di Matteo revealed Luiz and Cahill had not recovered sufficiently from hamstring injuries to play in Sunday's final Barclays Premier League game of the season.

"Now we're trying our hardest working towards next Saturday in the hope they'll be in the group training next week," said Di Matteo, who will have no other recognised centre-halves at the Allianz Arena, with John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic both suspended.
