Mancini eyes strong Champions League bid

Published Add your comment

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini wants to build on title glory with a strong challenge in the Champions League next season.

Mancini feels European success should be the next challenge after securing the Barclays Premier League - City's first title success in 44 years - with a dramatic 3-2 win over QPR. City's first foray into the Champions League ended at the group stage last autumn but Mancini now wants to improve on that, as well as maintaining domestic dominance.

Mancini told talkSPORT: "We need to improve. The Champions League is a very difficult competition, you need to be lucky and in good form in February, but I think we can do well next year."
