The agent of Manchester City and Chelsea target Ezequiel Lavezzi has denied he has held talks over a possible switch to Inter Milan this summer.
Lavezzi’s future has been the subject of much intrigue this season, with both Chelsea and Manchester City constantly linked with a move for the Argentinian playmaker.
Napoli’s failure to secure Champions League football this season has left them vulnerable as they look to keep hold of their leading players who have attracted interest from all over Europe.
Both City and Chelsea have been linked with moves for Lavezzi’s team-mates Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani, however the former has committed his immediate future to the Naples-based outfit already having penned a one-year contract extension.
However rumours last week suggested that both Chelsea and City could miss out on Lavezzi after Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti held talks with the 27-year-old - claims that his agent, Alejandro Mazzoni, have now rubbished.
"Lavezzi has never told me that he wants to leave Napoliand he has never met with Inter president Massimo Moratti,” he told Radio CRC.
"I don't know the Inter president either. I do know (Marco) Branca and (Piero) Ausilio, but I know all sporting directors as I am the agent of Lavezzi and 39 other players.
"I'm frequently in Milan and I can confirm that Ezequiel was in Milan on the weekend that the Lecce-Napoli game was postponed, but he was there for personal reasons."
Both Chelsea and Manchester City have played Napoli this season in the Champions League and were reportedly impressed with the Serie A club's attacking trio of Hamsik, Lavezzi and Cavani, while Citizens manager Roberto Mancini’s agent claimed last year that the Italian was in talks to land Lavezzi for €31 million.
