Roberto Mancini has said that he is "101 per cent" certain that Mario Balotelli is staying at Manchester City this summer.

The Italian striker has got himself into a bit of trouble this season with nine yellow and two red cards to his name, along with some crazy off-field behaviour, but City boss Mancini remains a fan.

Balotelli has played a crucial part in the title success for the Citizens having scored 17 goals this season, and has been praised by his manager, who is positive about his future.

"In the last fifteen minutes against QPR he was decisive," said Mancini. "And he'll have a great European Championship too.

"I hope that Mario will be Italy's leader because he is the best Italian striker."

Mancini, who told Balotelli that he would never wear a City shirt again due to his crazy behaviour on and off the pitch, has retracted his statement and stands by his player.

"I will bet again on Balotelli, even though he made me really angry. I said he would never wear the City shirt but I knew that was not true.

"He has only to turn on his brain. It's his only problem. Mario is clear and I reiterate: Balotelli will remain in Manchester at 101 per cent."

With Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko completing the compliment of striking options at City, the club will have no shortage of firepower as they look to retain their Premier League title next season, and could even enter the transfer market this summer to add further competition for places.
